Story
My brother Toby died suddenly in his sleep aged 26 from undiagnosed epilepsy, completely changing the lives of our family and his friends. This loss has affected us ever since.
Over the years running provided a great relief to me, both mentally and physically. I hadn’t realised how much until an extended hiatus. Only recently have I managed to get back on the roads, properly moving again.
My aging bones feel like they have one good go at a marathon left in them, so I’ve challenged myself to run this year’s London Marathon in memory of Toby.
One in 100 people live with epilepsy and there are three epilepsy related deaths every day.
With your support, I will be raising money for the chronically underfunded Epilepsy Research Institute. Their work focusses on funding research into the causes, prevention and treatment of Epilepsy in it’s various forms.
Please do visit their website, their incredible work speaks for itself.
