Story
I (along with a team of 7 other brave/wonderful/wild individuals) will be swimming a 24 hour relay at Alderford Lake on 27th September to raise money for Level Water.
This charity funds swimming lessons for children with disabilities all over the UK. Teaching children the power of swimming will build confidence, give them life-saving skills and bring joy to so many young people.
Being in water, moving through cool lakes, splashing in big waves, the gentle pull of a river...there's a grin on my face and calmness in my mind. I was very lucky to be taught to swim by my parents and had swimming lessons from as far back as I can remember. I spent most of my young childhood years in a pool or at the beach...
But not everyone has access to swimming in the UK.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
