Hi, we’re Becca and Lauren 👋🏻

For the past five months, we’ve been travelling through Southeast Asia, learning about different cultures, communities, and ways of life. For the final month of our journey, we’ll be travelling to Nepal, where we’ll be volunteering in local schools and supporting the incredible work of EYE Nepal — a charity that funds and sustains education for children in rural communities.

We’ve chosen to volunteer in Nepal as it’s one of the least developed countries in the world, where many children face significant barriers to education.

Some key statistics that highlight these challenges:

- 800,000 children do not attend school

- 37% of girls marry before the age of 18 and 10% before the age of 15

- 80% of children are estimated to experience domestic violence

During our time in Nepal, we’ll be working directly in schools supported by EYE Nepal, helping with teaching, activities, and daily school life. All funds raised through this page will go directly to EYE Nepal to support education, resources, and safe learning opportunities for children who might otherwise miss out.
