Story
On 18th September 2020, our dear Izzy unexpectedly lost her life to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) at just 23 years old. SUDEP is very rare, affecting around 1 in every 1,000 adults with Epilepsy each year. No one knows the exact cause and there may be no single explanation. Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death.
Izzy was truly a special and one of a kind girl with so much life in her and many dreams ahead of her. She was loyal, always thought of others, and lived every day to the fullest, and so in her honour and to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of her passing, we will be climbing Mount Snowdon on Saturday 20th September 2025 to raise money for SUDEP Action. SUDEP Action are a small charity who focus their efforts on providing tools to help keep people with Epilepsy safe and support the bereaved families affected.
