Myself, Dan & Spud will be lobbing ourselves out of a plane on 28/06/2025, as part of The Big Pink Jump, to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. This charity does amazing work to change the lives of those affected by breast cancer, both through life-saving research and support.

On a personal note, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in April 2024 and was absolutely cacking it at the thought of undergoing treatment. I had never been ‘unwell’ and could barely look at a needle. Fast forward 16 sessions of chemotherapy, countless hours of wearing a cold cap (🥶), being a human pin cushion, and surgery … I’m out the other side and was told that there’s “no evidence of disease” in December 2024. Whilst I still have 20 sessions of radiotherapy to go, I am looking forward to closing this chapter of my life soon! The Moving Forward course run by Breast Cancer Now has been a key part of what will help me to do this. It’s our turn now to support them by raising as much money as we can!

None of us are keen at the thought of jumping from 10,000 ft, and falling at 120mph, but we’re going to do it anyway. 🤣🫣. I’m telling myself if I can manage my medical phobias then I can manage my fear of heights… right?!! I’ll be approaching this the same way that I approached chemo ..read books by the blokes who do the SAS Who Dares Win tv show and I’ll be alright… 😂
