Bramhall Junior Netball Club U11 girls are fundraising for Leeds Children Transplant Team

Becky Austin is raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity

Score 8000 goals

We're fundraising to send Leeds Children's Team to the British Transplant Games in Sheffield 2026, an annual sporting event celebrating transplant patients and the donor families.

Story

The U11 girls from Bramhall Juniors Netball Club are fundraising for Leeds Children’s Transplant Team and to help raise the awareness of the importance of organ donation.

Over the course of the summer they aim to score an incredible 8,000+ goals, one goal to represent every person in the UK who is actively waiting for a life saving transplant, at least 350 of these being children. Sadly there are thousand more in need of a new organ but who are temporarily suspended from the active transplant list due to poor health.

Maddie who plays for the U11s team, knows only too well the importance of organ donation as her sister Emilie, required a lifesaving liver transplant after being diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma when she was younger. Thanks to the amazing work of many doctors and nurses and to the incredible generosity of her donors family, she is now a happy, healthy 15 year old.

Leeds Children’s Transplant Team has been an incredible support network for all members of the family and each year takes a team of children to the British Transplant Games.

The British Transplant Games is an annual sporting event celebrating transplant patients and donor families.

All monies raised on this page (and linked individual pages) will go into the Leeds Hospitals Charity Children's Transplant Games Fund 5M97.
