Story
I’m Running the Berlin Marathon for Arrochar Mountain Rescue 🏃♂️🏔️
This year, I’ll be running the Berlin Marathon, and it will be a very special race for me — my final World Marathon Major.
Completing the major marathons (London, Boston, Tokyo, Chicago, New York and Berlin) has been an unforgettable journey, filled with hard training, big challenges, and moments that have pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. As I reach the end of that journey, I wanted my final major to be about more than just the finish line.
That’s why I’m proud to be fundraising for Arrochar Mountain Rescue.
Why Arrochar Mountain Rescue?
Arrochar Mountain Rescue is a volunteer-run team that provides lifesaving assistance to people in difficulty in the mountains and remote areas of Scotland. They give their time freely, often in harsh conditions, to help others when they need it most — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Their work saves lives, and they rely heavily on donations to fund essential equipment, training, and operational costs.
Why Your Support Matters
Training for a marathon demands commitment, resilience, and teamwork — values that reflect the incredible work carried out by mountain rescue volunteers. Every mile I run in Berlin is for those who give up their own time to keep others safe in the hills.
Your donation will help support:
* 🚑 Emergency call-outs and rescues
* 🧗 Specialist training and equipment
* 🏔️ Volunteers who put themselves on the line for others
Thank You
Any donation, no matter the size, is hugely appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or offering your support means just as much.
Thank you for helping me make my final major marathon count — and for supporting the amazing volunteers of Arrochar Mountain Rescue.
