I’m doing something that terrifies me — jumping out of a plane — but it’s nothing compared to what my son has already faced in his young life.

My son was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. From the moment he arrived, our world changed in ways we never expected. Alongside the joy of meeting him came uncertainty, fear, and so many questions about what lay ahead.

That’s where CLAPA stepped in.

They gave us more than just information — they gave us reassurance when we needed it most. From practical advice to specialist feeding equipment, they helped us navigate those early days when everything felt overwhelming. They reminded us that we weren’t alone.

Since then, our son has already undergone three operations. Each one has been a huge moment for our family — filled with bravery, resilience, and more strength than any child should ever have to show. And his journey isn’t over yet. There are more surgeries and challenges ahead.

So now it’s my turn to be brave.

I’m taking on a skydive to raise money for CLAPA, so they can continue supporting families like ours — families who are just starting this journey and desperately need that same guidance and comfort.
