Stirling and District Women’s Aid is a voluntary organisation providing support to women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Stirling and District Women’s Aid provides support, assistance and advocacy for women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

Story

2026 marks a truly special milestone for Stirling & District Women’s Aid — our 50th anniversary. For five decades, we have supported women, children, and young people experiencing domestic abuse by offering safety, shelter, advocacy, and hope.

From our first refuge in the 1970s to the vital services we provide today, every year has only strengthened our commitment to creating a community where women and children can live free from fear.

This year, to honour 50 years of life‑changing work, we are setting ourselves a bold and exciting challenge:

🎉 Raising £50,000 for 50 Years

By taking part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk, our team hopes to raise £50,000 — £1,000 for every year of support, empowerment, and resilience.

Every donation, big or small, helps us continue to:

- Provide safe refuge and emergency accommodation

- Deliver specialist support and advocacy services

- Offer children’s and young people’s programmes

- Educate and raise awareness in our community

- Stand beside survivors as they rebuild their lives

Why This Matters

Domestic abuse remains a reality for far too many women and children. Our services are needed now as much as ever — and your support helps ensure no one has to face this journey alone.

By donating, you’re not just supporting a fundraiser.

You’re helping protect lives, rebuild futures, and strengthen a service that has stood strong for half a century.

💜 Thank You 💜

Thank you for supporting Stirling & District Women’s Aid during our 50th anniversary year.

Whether you donate, share our page, or cheer us on from the sidelines — you are helping make a safer future possible.

Here’s to 50 years of strength, and to the next 50 years of hope.
