Story
Hi All
On Sunday 6th April 2025, I will be running my first-ever half marathon in support of Headway, a charity close to my heart. Every year, over half a million people in the UK are admitted to hospital with a acquired brain injury. In 2006, my dad became one of them. He suffered significant trauma to the front of his brain, resulting in 40% damage, loss of taste and smell, and 60% hearing loss.
During that challenging time, Headway stepped in to offer vital support to me, my mum, my dad, and our entire family. They guided us through the difficult adjustments, helping us understand how living with a brain injury can change your way of life. Not only did they provide support groups for those with brain injuries, but they also offered ongoing help for caregivers, ensuring that we never felt alone.
Headway’s impact on our lives was profound, and we cannot thank them enough for their unwavering support during those difficult times. Their work continues to make a difference for countless individuals and families across the country who are navigating life after a brain injury.
Please join me in supporting this incredible charity by donating. Your contribution will help raise awareness and ensure that Headway can continue to provide essential services to those in need.
Thank you! 🤍
