CRESS educates and trains displaced people with the knowledge and skills to empower them to establish self-sustaining communities in rural northern Uganda.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January I will be visiting South Sudanese communities in the refugee camps in Uganda with a charity I support, CRESS. You can read more about them here https://cressuk.org/

The refugees in the camps are among the poorest people in the world. CRESS works with communities in the camps to help them become self-sufficient through savings schemes and agricultural projects, and this input is transformational.

50% of the children in the camps are orphans and have no access to education. When we visit we would like to take sports equipment (netballs, footballs, skipping rope, hoops and balls) for the children in those communities. For these children, a football, netball or skipping rope is hugely important and enables them to play and have fun. The communities really value the equipment and care for it well.

If you would like to contribute to this, thank you!
