Story
Big heart, busy brain, a sometimes tweaky back and a steely determination.
Helloooo! I’m Becs — Reception teacher, mum, runner.
I’m raising money for ADHD UK, a cause close to my wonderfully busy brain.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2022. As an adult with ADHD, teaching little people while managing the demands of everyday life, I know how much understanding and the right support matter.
My personality comes with enthusiasm, creativity, approximately seventeen conversational side quests and a generous helping of “Ooooh, I’ve had an idea.”
Think unicorn with a teaching qualification.
But even unicorns get exhausted.
Behind the humour, ADHD can involve overwhelm, burnout and a huge amount of effort that other people never see. Being capable and needing support can exist in the same person. Hello. It’s me.
As a teacher, I want children to grow up knowing that different brains belong. As an adult, I want us to receive that same kindness, including on the days when we’ve run out of sparkle and just need someone to understand.
That’s why I’m supporting [ADHD UK](https://adhduk.co.uk/about-us/). Their work includes information, support, research, advocacy and raising awareness to challenge stigma.
If you can spare a few pounds, I would be ridiculously grateful. Your donation will support their work helping people affected by ADHD.
If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page would also be absolutely fabulous.
Thank you for backing this busy brained unicorn and a cause that means so much to me.
Ta mucho. Big love.
Becs x
