Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a very special cause.
In July 2025, we lost our beautiful mum to cancer. Mum lived with cancer for ten years, and throughout that time I witnessed a woman with unimaginable courage and strength. She never gave up, never stopped thinking of others, and somehow always managed to face each day with a smile. She was, and always will be, my inspiration.
In memory of my brave mum, I’ve decided to take on this half marathon. Anyone who knows me knows this is completely outside of my comfort zone — I’ve never been a runner (unless it was for the bus!). But if my mum could endure everything she did with such grace, then I can push myself through this challenge. I would do anything for you, Mum.
I am fundraising for Marie Curie, an incredible charity that supported us when we needed it most. When we were exhausted, they came and stayed through the night so I could get some rest. When I needed advice, they were just a phone call away. When medication was needed in the early hours of the morning, they were there. These extraordinary people leave their own families to care for those facing terminal illness and to support their loved ones. I will never forget the compassion, kindness, and comfort they gave us during the hardest time of our lives.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, you would be helping Marie Curie continue their vital work and honouring the memory of my wonderful mum. Thank you so much for your support, and please wish me luck as I take on this journey — I’ll be running with Mum at the forefront of every step.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🤍
