Story
After loosing our dad Kieran Brewer in February this year, myself and my sister made a decision for the charitable donations to go to Overgate Hospice in Elland, where he was looked after and spent his final moments. We raised a total of £253.50 on the day of his funeral which was amazing.
We got our heads together and along with one of his friends we decided we would love to raise more for them. In the 4 short hours he spent there they made a lasting impact on us in his final moments.
So we have organised a 5 mile charity pub crawl in his memory and named it " Beers for Brewer" to be held on the on 09/08/2025. We are meeting at 9am for breakfast at The Commercial, Wetherspoons, Sowerby Bridge. Then taking the train to Hebden Bridge where we will start our walk back to Sowerby Bridge, ending at the The Turks Head to raise a glass of baileys in honour of our Dad and draw our raffles. We have been donated some lovely prizes, please feel free to join us.
If you are unable to attend on the day and would like to make a donation you can do so on our just giving page and this will be added to the total after the event.
Since Dads passing we have felt there are many people walking the same path as us and wanted to organise something that as a community we could all take part in. Along with Dads memory, we walk for all those that have lost their battle to soon.
