Story
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
Some of you may remember me tackling Manchester Marathon 2024 which was the hardest, yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done, and now it’s time to tackle 26.2 again!
Everyone says their Grandparents were the best, but I was truly blessed with mine as my Grandad was my number 1 fan in everything I did, whether that be on a football pitch or in the classroom. We were so lucky to make so many special memories together, which I cherish to this day, and I will always be grateful to have got to spend the years I did get with him.
He had a long battle with Dementia before he passed away in 2020 and whilst this was incredibly hard for our family and those who knew him, it taught me true strength, courage and resilience I use every day, and will need to tackle another marathon!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support, and all donations and shares are greatly appreciated!
Much love, Bek ❤️
