Story
This September, I am completing the Bridge the Gap Three Peaks Challenge. Competing to cross the finish line at the foot of Snowdon first! I will be climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.
I have been involved in Bridge the Gap Women's football community in Oxford for the last 2 years, and it has had such a positive impact and changed my life, so when the opportunity to do this came up, it felt so right to be able to give back and get involved in this crazy challenge!
Why Support BTG?
BTG are tackling a Mental health Crisis. Suicide is the main cause of death in young people under the age of 35 in the UK. Loneliness is a silent pandemic in this age group, with 25% admitting to having no close friends.
BTG are creating role models, as a lack of the right kind of role models can be crippling as young people become adults, start careers and families, but are unable to see a different way of doing life. Jesus is the ultimate role model. Churches are uniquely equipped to draw alongside young people, helping them to navigate the turbulent journey into adulthood. BTG exists to bridge that gap - meeting people where they are at.
I'm so grateful for all your support and really appreciate each one of you cheering me on :)
