Story
Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.
Help us fund the fight! Together, we will find a cure.
Last June, I and a uni friend, aimed to battle the heat, blisters and albergue bed bugs to trek the 165 miles from Porto to Santiago de Compostela along the Camino Portugues.
Part 1 started on the 1st June with the flight to Porto, heading out of Porto on June 2nd I walked up the coast of Portugal via Correco, Caminha, Valenca and crossed into Spain at Tui on June 7th.
It was at the Spanish starting point at Tui Cathedral that I had to make the choice to split my own journey into 2 parts.
With very poorly, infected feet, a raging temperature and quite frankly, the worst mental health I've experienced in a very long time, I made the only good decision of the trip to call it time, stop stomping through, and head home to recup.
Well, time for PART 2!!
I fly to Porto on March 20th, will use the 21st heading back to Tui Cathedral where I need to restamp my passport to officially restart and head north from the 22nd.
Hopefully, I'll make it to SdC by the 27th, collect my Compostela and then adventure east by train to Madrid via Zamora and home in time for Easter!
