Tough Mudder London West 2025 · 10 May 2025 to 11 May 2025 ·

The Birth Trauma Association supports families affected by traumatic childbirth. We also campaign to raise awareness of birth trauma and improve training of health professionals, as well as lobbying policymakers to improve care during and after childbirth.

Story

About Us: (Esther, Katie, Lau, Veronica, Maria, Martha and Natty)

We are an ordinary group of ladies, who are coming together to raise awareness for Birth Trauma, in memory of our most Beloved Friend, Cara.

We cannot begin to explain the hole in our hearts, and so instead, we are taking this as an opportunity to remind everyone, that life is fragile. Take the time to love those around you, even when life becomes busy and never take anything for granted.

And finally, we are attempting a Tough Mudder to raise awareness for this amazing charity, which supports so many women going through some of their most vulnerable moments as a new mother.

About the Charity:

We support parents - both mothers and partners - who are experiencing distress after a traumatic birth, whether that's full-blown postnatal PTSD (which affects about 30,000 women a year) or other forms of distress such as depression or anxiety. Birth trauma can be immensely difficult to live with, and parents often find there is no one they can talk to about the experience. Our Facebook group, a safe place where parents can support each other, has grown to more than 14,000 members. We also offer support by phone and over email.
