I have joined East Anglian Air Ambulance team to run my first marathon for this challenge! We will be raising funds to ensure helicopter crews can continue to be there for people in the most serious of medical emergencies, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During my career with the NHS I have watched many helicopters land and take off so I know how vital this service is.

East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the generous support of the community.

Crews are tasked an average of 7 times a day across our two bases, with each mission costing in the region of £3,750. They can reach anywhere in the region within 25 minutes, when every second can make the difference to a patient in their time of need. They provided vital support to my godson when he needed it following an accident. They also came out for a neighbour recently.
