Beanies for Brain Cancer

The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a not for profit organisation formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes in 2013. MHF has been formed to raise much needed funds to fund brain cancer research, heighten awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families within the community.

Story

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children, and adults aged under 40 in Australia, yet alarmingly very little is known about brain cancer, its causes or how it is treated.

Since first coming up with the idea to sell beanies to raise funds for research back in 2014, the Mark Hughes Foundation have sold over 900,000 beanies and close to $30 million dollars for brain cancer research.

As the cold weather sets in, what better time to buy a beanie and support our own, Matt Stonham, who is fighting his own battle with brain cancer.

To get your hands on one (or two), make your donation of $15 per beanie (don’t forget to leave your name), then contact Julie Hyde in the Warehouse to arrange collection.
