Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Bellingham Road has poor tree cover which makes the street very hot for pedestrians on sunny days. With two schools and a direct pedestrian route to Bellingham station and South Lewisham surgery, more trees on this street could make a difference to lots of people - as well as support wildlife and slow down heavy downpours.

The street is difficult to plant on because of lots of driveways and services under the pavement - but the council have approved tree planting on four sites on Bellingham Road for winter 26/27 and we could add more sites for the following year if we raise enough money.

Each tree site costs approximately £1600 and residents are asked to raise £395 towards each one. Residents can also contribute by offering to water trees regularly March-October.
