Bell Ringing by Jacob aged 11 · 17 August 2025

The Parish of Llangyfelach is an Anglican Parish within the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon in The Church in Wales. The Parish Church and it’s grounds holds great historical significance and is believed to be a site where St David built a monastic community - Y Clâs. We have a variety of worship services and fellowship activities which everyone is welcome to join.

Story

In the heart of our community, a young bell ringer has taken on a remarkable challenge. At just 11 years old, this dedicated individual has embraced the art of bell ringing with passion and skill. As the youngest member of the Diocesan Guild, he has quickly become a central part in the Llangyfelach bell tower, where the beautiful sounds of the bells resonate through our village.

Recognizing the importance of maintaining these cherished bells, our young bell ringer is determined to raise funds for their upkeep. The costs associated with this maintenance can be significant, but with your support, we can ensure that these bells continue to ring for generations to come. On 17th August 2025, Jacob will share the loved sound of the bells ringing with the wonderful community of Llangyfelach in hopes of rallying support for this noble cause.

We invite you to join us in this inspiring journey. Your generous contributions will help him reach his our target of £200 and make a lasting impact on our community's heritage. Together, let’s support this young champion and keep the spirit of bell ringing alive!
