Cycling London to Brighton for Nan & Our Retirement Village CommunityPersonal StoryThank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!On Sunday 13th September, I will be taking on the legendary London to Brighton Cycle Ride. I will be pedalling 55 miles from Clapham Common all the way to the Brighton Seafront to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. This is a massive physical challenge for me, but I am doing it for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. We recently lost our wonderful Nan—my mum's mum—to Alzheimer's. Watching someone you love go through this disease is heartbreaking, and our family misses her every day. I wanted to do something positive in her memory to support other families facing the same battle. My connection to this cause goes even deeper through my job. Working in a retirement village, I see firsthand the impact of dementia. Sadly, many of our residents and their families have experienced the pain of losing loved ones to Alzheimer's. Seeing their resilience inspires me every single day, and I am riding for our entire community. My target is to raise £500. Every single pound will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society to fund vital research, support families, and ultimately help find a cure.Whether you can donate £5 or £50, every little bit helps me get closer to my goal and keeps me pedalling up Ditchling Beacon! If you aren't able to donate, simply sharing my page link with others would mean the world to me.Thank you so much for your love and support!
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
