We (Ben and Dylan) are going to abseil 40m off the top of No3 Brindleyplace, Birmingham, on Saturday 18th July 2026 as part of our Jamboree adventure.

The World Scout Jamboree is one of the biggest events in the global Scouting movement, bringing together thousands of young people from around the world to camp outdoors and participate in activities such as white-water rafting and climbing. We’re looking forward to making new friends, learning about other cultures, and developing leadership skills!

The Jamboree is held every four years and in 2027 it will be in Gdansk, Poland.

We are going to be joined by 34 other Scouts and Explorers (aged 14-18) from Coventry and Solihull and are raising funds to cover the unit’s expenses for this once-in-a-lifetime event to join the UK Contingent in Poland.
