Ben and Steve's fundraiser for King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity

Ben and Steve Bateman is raising money for King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity

Team: Team Bateman

“2012. The staff saved my life. In hospital for 6 weeks.”
Our hospitals serve 900,000 local people. Whilst the NHS provides funding for the necessities, King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity funds projects which enhance the hospital experience for patients, visitors and staff at both Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George Hospital, Ilford.

Story

Young Epilepsy provides world class diagnosis, assessment and rehabilitation for children and young people with epilepsy. They also undertake research into the condition and how it can be treated. Their specialist services include a school, college and residential services providing education and healthcare for children and young people with epilepsy, autism and other neurological conditions. They offer a range of support, including a helpline and information for parents, children, and young people and training for professionals.

By sponsoring me today you will be helping Young Epilepsy in continuing to make a difference to the lives of children and young people living with epilepsy in the UK.

* Our son has had epilepsy for about 8 years now. He is on medication for it. He has been in hospital for treatment a few times over the years following an attack. Some people say that he might grow out of it but we aren't sure about that. Obviously this could affect certain things in future (Work and driving etc). It would be good to find a cure soon if possible.
