Story
I’m taking on the Manchester Marathon to raise money for Alzheimer’s and dementia research causes that mean so much to me personally. I’m running in honour of my amazing family, my Nan, Shirley Pearsall, my Grandad, Barry Pearsall, and my Grandma, Lesley Brooker.
Each of them has been affected by these heartbreaking conditions, and I’ve seen firsthand how devastating they can be not just for those living with them, but for the families who love and care for them. Dementia slowly takes away memories, independence, and connection, but it never takes away the love we feel for the people behind the illness.
By running this marathon, I want to do my part to help fund vital research, raise awareness, and support those affected. Every donation, brings us one step closer to better treatments, more support, and one day a cure.
