27th January 2023, the day my dad lost his battle to pancreatic cancer.

I never really knew how much grief could play such a massive part in my life. It affects you in so many different ways, ways I never knew it could.Wether it’s something you see, a place you go, or words that are said. You realise that everything around you is a reminder of them.To this day I still struggle to get my head around the fact you have actually gone and I think that’s the hardest part for me. You aren’t there if I pop over. You aren’t at the table when we go out for meals. You aren’t a phone call away if I need advice.It will never be clear as to why you were taken away from us, but what is clear is that you’re my ‘why’ to everything I do.Some of you may know that next year I’ll be running my first marathon to raise money for The Big C. This will be my first big challenge I’ve set myself, but I’m not worried because I have my ‘why’I want to do a video explaining more about the run and the reasons for running but if you can donate anything wether it’s big or small it would honestly mean the absolute world to me.
