I volunteer with Beach Wheelchairs at my local beach in Portobello, Edinburgh. It is a real privilege to help make it possible for wheelchair users to be able to gain access to the sand and the waves using specialist chairs.

The charity operates in both North Berwick (20 miles down the coast from me) and Portobello.

Each year more and more wheelchair users are accessing this service. On 19th April I will be running the Krakow Marathon and any donations made will continue to help this fantastic service increase access to our beaches. Most of my training runs go past our facility in Portobello so that gives me an extra buzz as I tire on my longer training runs.
