# 🏔️ Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to Bring Clean Water to Communities in Tanzania

I'm climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for life-changing water projects in Tanzania through The Salvation Army. Will you help me bring clean water to communities that need it most?**

Mount Kilimanjaro stands as one of Tanzania's most recognisable landmarks. This year, I'm taking on the challenge of climbing to its summit, not simply for the adventure, but to raise funds for something far more important: **access to safe water for communities across Tanzania.**

Through my work with The Salvation Army in Tanzania, I've seen how access to clean water can transform lives. In communities where safe water is difficult to access, families can face long journeys to collect water, increased health risks and challenges in maintaining hygiene and sanitation. Children can be particularly affected, with time and opportunities lost because of inadequate access to water.

The Salvation Army works alongside communities to develop sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects. These initiatives help communities access safe water, improve hygiene practices and strengthen their ability to maintain water infrastructure for the future.

Why I'm climbing

Climbing Kilimanjaro will be physically demanding. The altitude, long days of walking and unpredictable conditions will test my determination.

But every step will be motivated by the opportunity to help communities gain access to something many of us take for granted: **clean, safe water.**
