Over the weekend of 19th July 2025, I will be attempting to complete the 100 mile long Rat Race Castle to Castle Ultramarathon.

Starting off at Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland, I'll head up the east coast passing through Eyemouth, where I grew up, and then continue on to finish at Edinburgh Castle, close to where I live now.

I am hoping to raise as much money as I can in aid of Children with Cancer UK. We will all know someone affected by cancer and the physical and mental toll it takes. I know the impact of a cancer diagnosis on young people and their families. Whilst this 100 mile challenge is well outside of my comfort zone (over the length of 1,600 rugby pitches) it is nowhere near the impact it has on the young people and their families, so any donations towards this will be much appreciated.

For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond.
