Story
Ben for Barretstown ❤
We partake in various events in celebration of the life of Ben Wallace, from Caragh, Naas, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2011 and first experienced the wonder of Barretstown as a camper in 2012 and 2013 and later planned to be a volunteer.
"Barretstown just gives you this confidence. I don't know how they do it, but that's the magical thing about Barretstown. It gives you a piece of yourself back - the piece you lose during your illness" Ben Wallace, 2013.
Ben departed this world in 2015 aged just 16, having made an amazing imprint on many lives. Ben's story is not over......during his illness, Ben helped Barretstown with some fundraising, and it seems fitting that we should continue what he started and bring fun and laughter to children's lives, as Ben brought so much to ours.....and so it continues....
Team Ben for Barretstown @ the VHIWMM - a wonderful group of supporters who together have raised more than €100K for Barretstown to-date.
