My son Billy was recently diagnosed with Leukeamia. He's started treatment at the QMC Hospital in Nottingham under the care of the Peadiatric Heamatology Department. They are an amazing team, and we are incredibly fortunate to have their support over what will be a very tough couple of years.

Teenage Cancer Trust supports this department by funding specialist staff and resources specifically for teenagers going through cancer treatment. Billy now has a direct line to a brilliant team of support workers that he can speak to one-to-one, who understand what it's like being a teenager with cancer, and are allways there to listen. He also has access to a social room at the hospital which offers a space for him to relax, play pool and Xbox, listen to music, watch films, and even have his friends over to visit.

I'd like every other kid in the country who's going through something similar to Billy to have access to the same brilliant people and resources. That's why I'm raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. I was allready planning to run the Amsterdam Marathon with Rach, my partner - Billy's Mum. And I'm now using this opportunity to raise funds for this incredible charity.

Every £ counts, so dont feel like you need to give a lot - you might not be in a position to give anything and thats fine too - I'm just happy that you read this far and have heard Billy's story and have learned a bit about Teenage Cancer Trust.
