We support all UK ambulance staff to improve their lives in times of need.

Story

I am running the Eastbourne Half Marathon with an operational Fire hose over my shoulders in memory of my Dad.

My Dad worked for the Ambulance service for just shy of 20 years. He saved many lives, yet the pandemic took his life in January 2021.

I just want people to think of my Dad and of course raise money for this great charity.

I started my journey in the emergency services in the Fire & Rescue Service after my Dad lost his life, I wanted to carry the emergency services baton.

The Ambulance Staff charity is the leading UK charity supporting current and retired Ambulance Staff and their families. My Dad never got to retire.

Ambulance Staff dedicate their lives to supporting and saving others. They see life at its most fragile, often dealing with tragedy on a daily basis. Sometimes they themselves are in need of care and support. Our support enhances their well-being during times of need by helping to alleviate pain, suffering and financial hardship.
