Story
I’ll be taking part in a 50-mile competitive hike across a challenging figure-of-eight route through the rugged landscapes of the Shropshire Hills and the Welsh Marches. The course includes approximately 8,000 feet of elevation gain and covers eight scenic summits.
I’m raising money for Vale of Clwyd Mind, an organisation local to me that supports people facing mental health challenges in the rural area of Denbighshire. Their rural outreach mission is incredibly important; In an area like Denbighshire, Vale of Clwyd Mind have adapted to ensure that no one is forgotten.
Mental health is something that affects all of us — directly or indirectly — and it doesn’t always show on the surface. That’s why I believe it’s so important to talk about it, support each other, and back the services that make a real difference.
