Story
🥊 Ben “The Bruiser” Madden Takes on the Rumble! 🥊
Right then, here we go. I’ve done some wild things in my time, but stepping into a boxing ring, in front of a crowd, to go toe-to-toe with someone who’s got actual boxing experience? That’s a new one.
I’ll be donning the gloves for Rumble with the Agents, a white-collar boxing match raising funds for Centrepoint, a brilliant charity that supports young people facing homelessness.
Why Am I Doing This?
Because sleep is a human right. Because young people deserve a future. And because punching someone (legally) for a good cause feels like a win-win.
Most of us take our lives for granted, between the age of 16 and 25 my life was a relative breeze compared to what some are having to deal with. Centrepoint works across the UK, providing housing, health support, and life skills to homeless 16–25 year olds. Their mission is to end youth homelessness by 2037.
About the Fight…
Now, let’s be clear: I take fitness seriously, but I’ve never boxed before. I’m more used to HIIT sessions and kettlebells than uppercuts and jabs. Meanwhile, my opponent? Let’s just say they know what they’re doing.
So, there’s a very real chance I’ll be humbled, publicly, loudly, and possibly with a black eye. But if that raises money for a life-changing cause, it’s totally worth it.
Help Me Help Them
If you’ve ever cheered me on, worked with me, seen me in the gym and thought, “He could take a punch”, or just fancy supporting a great cause (and watching me get punched)...
Please donate.
Every pound goes directly to Centrepoint’s work and will make me feel a whole lot better knowing the beating I'm most likely to take was worth it.
Thank you for the support and wish me luck (I’ll need it).
