Running Paris and London Marathons for Dementia Carers Count

Ben Martin is raising money for Dementia Carers Count

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Half of us will become dementia carers, or need care. At Dementia Carers Count we provide information, advice and support to thousands of dementia carers every year. No carer should feel overwhelmed or alone.

Story

One in two of us will either care for someone with dementia or need dementia care ourselves. It’s something that touches so many lives - but for the people caring for loved ones with dementia, it can be an overwhelming and isolating journey.

That’s why I’ve decided to take on a personal challenge and signed myself up to run both the Paris and London Marathons this April in support of Dementia Carers Count, a brilliant charity that provides expert, tailored support to carers, and campaigns to ensure they are heard when it matters most. No dementia carer should feel like they’re going through it alone. By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping make sure they never have to.

If you’re able to donate, whether out of generosity or just to see me suffer a bit, I’d be hugely grateful. (And yes, I’m open to costume suggestions for London if the price is right!!)

Thanks so much for reading, and even more for donating if you can
