Story
On 14th August, I'll be swapping paddleboards, festivals and weekends with friends for something a little more extreme – a Wingwalk in support of Unmasked Mental Health!
Anyone who knows me knows I love an adventure. Whether it's camping, paddleboarding, socialising with friends or enjoying a well-earned pint, I'm always up for making memories and having a good time. But standing on the wing of an aeroplane thousands of feet in the air might just be my biggest challenge yet.
I'm taking part in the Wingwalking for Wellbeing campaign to raise funds for Unmasked Mental Health and The Access Fund, helping people across Calderdale access free and subsidised counselling when they need it most.
Mental health challenges can affect anyone. Friends, family, work colleagues and people we meet every day may be facing struggles that we know nothing about. Having access to the right support at the right time can make a huge difference, but for many people the cost of counselling can be a barrier.
That's why The Access Fund exists – to help ensure that nobody has to choose between their mental health and their finances.
So while I'll be leaving my comfort zone and taking to the skies, I'd be incredibly grateful for any support you can give.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide life-changing counselling and support for local people who need it most.
Thank you for supporting me, Unmasked Mental Health and The Access Fund. Together, we can help take mental health support to new heights.
