Story
On Saturday, 4 May, the team of new Firefighter Apprentices from RBFRS will collectively cycle 488 miles – the area of Berkshire in square miles.
Firefighters will complete the static cycle challenge from two locations in Berkshire – M4 Reading Services Westbound and The Lexicon in Bracknell.
The reason for the challenge is to raise funds for The FireFighters Charity who are the UK fire family’s charity. The Fire Fighters Charity provides an extensive range of services for fire service personnel and their families, including therapy and rehabilitation for injured firefighters, as well as health and wellbeing services both in person and online. They are there for every member of the fire service community and they are of upmost importance to all involved in the life of firefighters from operational staff, office staff and families.
As a team of apprentice firefighters, we would also appreciate your support on the day, with collection buckets available. We would be grateful for any kind of donation, no matter the size as it all goes to a fantastic cause.
