In 2024 I decided to run the London marathon in under three hours, I managed 3hrs 2mins. I returned this year and completed it in 3hrs 1min!

I have decided to try once more and I’m travelling to Berlin next Sunday (21st September). This time however I am using the extra motivation of running for Alzheimer's Research UK.

My family has been dealing with the complications of the disease for the last 10 years, one that robs you slowly of your memory and spark. We have all suffered occasional memory loss, but imagine being in that dark state permanently and what it does to your confidence and relationships - it is devastating.

Anything we can do to help research the disease and support families who are struggling with it seems like a good choice.
