Story
On October 12th, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes for the Chicago Marathon with my friend Michael– our fourth marathon adventure.
Once again, I’m running in support of a cause that means a great deal to me: Behind Every Kick. This brilliant organisation uses the power of sport to equip young people with essential life skills – confidence, teamwork, resilience – helping them shape better futures for themselves both on and off the pitch.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing the programme’s impact first-hand. It’s more than just sport – it’s a lifeline for many, transforming attitudes, unlocking potential, and giving young people the tools to thrive.
One young participant summed it up perfectly:
“Behind Every Kick has helped me grow, not just in sport, but in how I see myself and what I’m capable of.”
I’d be incredibly grateful for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal. Every donation – no matter the size – goes directly to the charity (my race costs are entirely self-funded), and every penny will help them continue this vital work.
Thanks so much for reading – and for cheering me on from afar!
With appreciation,
Ben Pollock
