I am running the Two Tunnels Ultra Marathon to raise money for the Starfish Alliance. In August I am volunteering for a week with Starfish at one of their summer kids camps. These are camps they put on each year where they take kids in care, many of whom are victims of abuse and neglect and take them on a 5 day residential camp with the aim to "treat them like royalty" no matter their background or trauma.

They believe that all children deserve to experience unconditional love, hope and safety and aim to create life-changing experiences on camps for children to receive this.

The 5 day residential includes activities such as swimming, assault courses, crafts and much more. Many of the children do not normally get to celebrate their birthday and so on the final night there is a birthday party where there are personalised presents and cake for every child.

These camps are completely free for the childrens families and carers and make a massive difference to the children and their carers. All of the money raised will go to Starfish Allience so that they can continue to put these life-changing camps on.
