I’m running the Sheffield Half Marathon in 2026 to raise money for the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Accident and Emergency Department — the department I’ve had the privilege of working in for the past two years.

A&E is an incredibly busy and often challenging environment, but it’s also full of dedicated, compassionate staff who go above and beyond for patients every single day. I see first-hand how much pressure the service is under, and how even small improvements can make a real difference to patient care and staff wellbeing.

The NHS provides an incredible service in Sheffield, but with limited resources there’s always more that can be done. Thanks to generous supporters, Sheffield Hospitals Charity helps fund vital equipment, projects, and enhancements that directly improve care for patients and support the amazing staff across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
