Story
Hi my name is Ben, I’m 29 and I will be (my health allowing) running the Ipswich half marathon in September alongside friends and family to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.
In September 2025, after having two seizures and severe headaches over a 2 month period I was blue lighted to Addenbrookes. An MRI scan showed a large tumour in my brain. I had surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. Tests were done on the tennis ball sized tumour and sadly I got the bad news that I have incurable stage four cancer. I’ve since had 6 weeks of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and I am currently continuing chemotherapy on a monthly cycle.
Please get behind me to help me to reach my goal as I want to help others in my situation. Only about 1% of Cancer Research funding goes to brain cancer so I feel obliged to do this to help to give hope to others, not only for me and others in the same situation but for our loved ones watching and helping us go through it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you so much for any donations 💙
