Story
I am running the London Marathon for Samaritans because of the invaluable work they do, providing confidential emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to anyone who is struggling to cope or feeling overwhelmed. Knowing that trained volunteers are always there to listen without judgement, whether someone is facing loneliness, mental health difficulties or suicidal thoughts, is incredibly important to me and is why this charity feels so close to my heart. By taking on this marathon, I want to do something positive to support a service that is there in people’s darkest moments, helping to ensure Samaritans can continue answering millions of calls for help and be there for whoever needs them next.
