Update: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - today (3rd September) I have completed 75 lengths of the 50m pool at Inspire (Luton) 3750m. 75 for the 75th birthday of the NHS. This sees the completion of the staggered triathlon for the Luton A&E emergency department appeal.

Update: On 14th May 2023 myself, Marco and Fabio completed our 100km ride (Strava) upload below. It was hot and hilly but we did it.

Update: 11/6/23, I have had to take a pause on activities at present due to personal reasons. I will update this page when up and going and ready for a swim. Thank you to all of those who have donated. It is wonderful to know these funds will support the children's A&E.

100km ride into the Chilterns (14th May) ☑️

Ben is an Emergency Nurse and works as Matron at the Emergency Department of the Luton & Dunstable Hospital. He is local, Luton born and wants nothing less than Luton to have the best Emergency Department it can.

This fundraiser is to raise money for the Emergency Fund. This fund provides the patients in our department with the support and resources that they not only need but that makes their stay or experience more bearable and as easy as possible in a difficult time.

The fund caters for both the Adult and Paediatric ED and will play its part in hitec distraction ceiling panels for the children and cutting edge resources in medical diagnostics. We are delighted to be having a whole new rebuild and with your help we can make it the best department for our community.

This staggered triathlon is not just about what I will do, joining me on various challenges will be colleagues who before 2023 hadn’t ridden a road bike who will now complete 100km and runners who have only started this year.
