Story
Let me introduce you to my first Son, Billy.
Billy is 8 years old. We noticed very early on that Billy was different to other children.
Completely different interests and fell behind quickly on milestones.
He was diagnosed with ASD and Global Developmental Delay at the age of 4.
He has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, now his main traits are; Echolalia (repetition of phrases), inability to learn toileting, picky eating amongst other things.
It has been an extremely difficult fight to get him the support he needs which is ongoing.
Then came along Jude. Jude is 2 years old and showed traits much earlier than Billy. He is already going through the process towards a diagnosis. His main traits are; purposefully banging his head, completely non-verbal or communicating, picky eating & no interest in toys.
We are fully prepared for the fight ahead.
This is just a small overview (I could go on forever). But hopefully this gives a small insight.
These boys are the reason I am taking on the London Marathon in April, aiming to raise £1,500 for Autism East Midlands .
Your help getting there would be appreciated more than you will ever know.
