Story
I’m honoured to be running the London Marathon this year in support of The Firefighters Charity, an incredible organisation dedicated to supporting firefighters and their families in times of need.
Running the London Marathon has been a personal goal of mine for over a decade, and I’m incredibly grateful to finally be taking part, especially for a charity which is close to my heart. I’ve seen first-hand the vital difference this charity makes in the lives of those I work alongside.
As a firefighter with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, and having previously served as a firefighter in the Royal Air Force, I’ve experienced and witnessed the physical and emotional demands of this profession.
The Fire Fighters Charity provides essential support from mental health services and rehabilitation to family assistance and helping those who put their lives on the line every day.
Running 26.2 miles is no small feat, but it pales in comparison to the commitment and sacrifice made daily by firefighters and their families. By supporting my marathon journey, you’ll be helping ensure that these everyday heroes continue to receive the care and support they deserve—whether recovering from injury, illness, or navigating mental health challenges.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
