I am reaching out with a plea for your support in a cause that is very close to my heart. I am honored to be fundraising for Supporting Wounded Veterans (SWV), an incredible organization dedicated to helping medically discharged British veterans regain their independence and restore their self-confidence. Through the challenge and camaraderie of a ski week in the Alps, SWV has transformed the lives of hundreds of veterans, with over 90% maintaining or finding new employment or occupation.

In March 2025, 25 veterans will embark on an unforgettable journey to the slopes of Klosters, Switzerland, for the SWV Ski Rehab week. I am humbled and privileged to have been selected as a ski-buddy for this extraordinary event. My role will be to support my veteran-buddy in every aspect, both on and off the slopes, providing friendship, empathy, and unwavering support.

This marks my first foray into charitable work, and having recently freed myself from previous work commitments, I am diving headfirst into this endeavor. I am determined to create a fun and positive experience for my veteran-buddy, filled with joy and hope. I know it will be challenging, but the opportunity to help someone less fortunate than myself rediscover the beauty and joy in our world fills me with immense gratitude and excitement.

Upon returning home, these veterans receive continued support from a mentor and the SWV employment, training, and occupation team, helping them plan their professional and personal goals as they transition to civilian life.
