My sister, Amy (pictured right), and I (pictured left) have aged quite a bit since this photo was taken with our wonderful Aunty Kim (pictured centre). It has unfortunately been a heartbreaking time for our family since our Aunty Kim sadly passed away following battles with depression in December 2025.

Kim was a beautiful, kind and giving person who donated and raised lots of money for charities through fundraising events. This is why Amy and I would love to continue her charitable spirit through raising money to spread awareness of Mind and the importance of mental health. We have therefore signed up to complete the 15K Tough Mudder Challenge in the Midlands on Saturday 4th July 2026, raising money for the charity, Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk).

Mind is one of the leading mental health charities in the UK. Currently, 1 in 5 adults in England report experiencing a mental health problem like anxiety and depression, and a staggering 1 in 4 adults have suicidal thoughts*. There is still so much to be done in order to raise awareness of these issues and encourage people to talk and reach out for support. Mind provide support through helplines and local services. They continually campaign to improve mental health services nationally and increase public understanding, ensuring people with mental health problems feel less alone and have access to the right resources and care.

We’re aiming to raise over £500 each for Mind and would be extremely grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small (Amy has her own JustGiving page - https://www.justgiving.com/page/amy-treadwell-1).
