Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
12 years ago I ran the London Marathon for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It was the most incredible experience. In 2020 I decided to run again, raising money for one of my best friends who courageously fought but ultimately passed away, the previous year, from Pancreatic Cancer. That year I was proud to raise money in his memory but Covid meant I plodded the streets near home virtually in September, I always knew I would do it again.
Last summer my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In typical fashion, she stubbornly and amazing fought it off so I am one of the lucky ones; I can try and raise money spurred on by a happy ending, but, without the money raised, that simply will not be the case for many.
So this year I unashamedly ask for your support once more. I am not only doing the London Marathon in April but also Ride London in May, 100 miles on the bike and, Swim Serpentine in September, 2 miles around the Serpentine in Hyde Park. This little set is called "The Classics"; you even get a special medal. To top it all off I am doing New York Marathon in November!
I am hoping to raise at least £5000 to support the work of Breast Cancer Now and as ever your support makes every step, pedal, and painful stroke (I hate swimming) worthwhile. Thank you for your help it means the world to me but much more importantly means so much more to others xx
